  1. Lynn White

Good evening, I really hope someone can help me. I am a working, single mother of two boys who really loved her Volkswagen Beetle 1.2 TSI which I purchased from Barnetts Volkswagen in Dundee, Scotland, in March 2017.

I have had no issues with my vehicle whilst it was under warranty. Unfortunately now the warranty is out my gearbox has gone and I have been quoted a price of over £4000 to replace it. This is almost half of what I paid for the car less than 18 months ago.

I do not have this type of money and to be honest I cannot believe that this could go wrong with my car in such a short time.

I bought the vehicle in good faith from a company I trusted and feel as though I have been duped.

I am devastated. I now have to try and have vehicle recovered from the RAC approved garage I had to get it towed to last Saturday, which again will cost me more money I do not have.

I have been without a vehicle now for almost a week which is a huge inconvenience for myself and my two little boys aged 10 and 12. They have had to miss their usual clubs and classes as I live in a rural location and there are very few buses covering my area.

I am truly heartbroken and do not know where to turn.
